Restructure for heat exchange business

17 September 2018

Celebrating its 30th year in business, Thornhill Heat Exchangers has announced a restructure that sees clearer divisions between specialist areas under a new company Thornhill Group.

Thornhill Group’s customers will benefit from the significant investment its new owner, Rcapital is making to accelerate plans for enhancing the high-quality products and responsive services for which it is known.

Thornhill Group’s managing director David Lilley says: “We’re ambitious about our future growth and are delighted that our new owners share our vision. They are fully behind our desire to increase our manufacturing output and support services for customers in the UK and overseas.

“There will be no changes for most of our current customers in the short-term, with the majority of staff continuing to do the same jobs. However, in the longer term as we expand the business we are confident that customers will notice and benefit from the improvements we make.”

Thornhill Group comprises three operating divisions:

  • Thornhill Engineering Services - Designs and manufactures large heat exchangers and provides on-site servicing backed by in-house heat exchanger service, repair and refurbishment facilities.
  • Thornhill Rubber - Manufactures plate heat exchanger gaskets and specialist rubber products to the construction industry.
  • Thornhill Rail – Designs, manufactures and services cooler groups and associated equipment for the rail sector
