MiniTec Profile System – the clever and quick way to build machines and test equipment

MiniTec’s maxim is “save time” – with a strong emphasis on ensuring that the customers’ task of designing, specifying, purchasing, installing and maintaining its aluminium and stainless steel profiled building systems, is made as simple as possible by increasing the speed of development and reducing assembly costs. All major components and sub-components have a common profile T-slot for total flexibility in design and an assurance that the MiniTec system will provide years of trouble-free life with minimal maintenance.

A culture of continuous development has led to the new range of MiniTec stainless steel profiles and components ideal for use in food and pharmaceutical test and quality control. The new profile provides an excellent corrosion resistance machine structure for use in harsh environments, outdoor construction and clean inspection processing applications.

At the heart of the MiniTec Profile System is the Powerlock® fastener which gives fast and simple joining of profiles - requiring no pre-drilling or specialised tools saving valuable labour time. Profiles are simply pre-aligned and with a quick twist of an Allen Key a secure connection is made. This practical and intelligent interconnection method has much faster design and assembly times and is proven to substantially reduce assembly costs whilst offering improved flexibility than all other machine framing systems.

The comprehensive MiniTec system covers over 30 standard profiles with an abundance of complementary components including fastening elements, hinges, handles, locks, feet, conveyor and machine guard system components along with electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic components

The range also covers linear bearings, guides, motors and transmission components for pick and place, automated handing applications complete with tools and attachments to simplify assembly and further reduce costs.

The catalogue is enhanced by either i-CAD standalone software for use with key design packages such as SolidWorks & ProEngineer or MiniTec CADMenue which is a utility for AutoCAD. CADMenue provides a range of parametric macros to produce benches, linear and conveyor systems. The utility produces a full kitting and cutting list, substantially reducing design and manufacturing time. All provided to the User free of charge.

MiniTec can be applied and adapted to applications for manual and automated test stations, inspection systems, calibration equipment and also provide complete Turn-Key assembled solutions for all types of integrated automation machinery. In addition, MiniTec’s range of workstations can be produced to suit customer specific workstation requirements. An example of this is the range of 100% ESD components for specialist areas of manufacturing, test equipment and electronics based workstation applications.

In addition to a design service for its Profile System, MiniTec offer three delivery options that help customers to reliably predict project expenditure and timescales:

  • A component supply service
  • In-house assembly to customers specification
  • On-site installation service

The on-site installation service is aimed at manufacturing and research project managers facing tight timescales and for those situations where outsourcing is able to smooth production demands during busy periods. The value-add service has been developed in response to demands for urgent deliveries where design to assembly times for large framing systems were supplied and assembled on site in as little as two weeks.
