Extra slim dimensions for latest steam boiler
March 1st 2005

The Slim Jim steam boiler from Controlled Flame Boilers is a reliable unit for industrial, commercial and pharmaceutical processing operations. Its extra slim dimensions enable it to pass through standard doorways and to be sited in corners or tight locations.

This latest addition to the CFB 4VT Series can be powered by natural gas, propane or oil-fired.

Designed to maximise the correlation between fuel efficiencies and energy output, it is said to offer very low energy costs, with up to 35% savings over previous models.

It is also said to be six times cheaper than an electric boiler.

To enable the Slim Jim to quickly respond to and recover from peaks and troughs in demand, the steam chamber is 30% larger than some other vertical two pass boilers. This capacity virtually eliminates the possibility of priming and avoids excessive amounts of moisture being carried over in the steam.

The boiler has all of the plant controls and the burner positioned at the front. This makes the controls easily accessible, particularly when the unit is positioned in the corner of a room. Of tubeless design, it offers low cost of ownership and reduced maintenance requirements.

The Slim Jim vertical boiler is designed to produce up to 159kg of steam per hour. To save installation time, it can be mounted onto a skid assembly with blowdown vessel and condenser tank.
