GEM of a trap
September 1st 2007 Aesica, a supplier of active
pharmaceutical ingredients to the
pharmaceutical industry, has
revealed that it is saving more than
£67 000 a year in energy costs at
its Ponders End site following the
installation of GEM steam traps.
Gardner Energy Management
has installed 200 GEM venturi
orifice design traps throughout the
plant, achieving a 28% energy
saving in just 12 months.
As the traps have no moving
parts to wedge open or fail, only
