Remote monitoring March 1st 2007 Hamworthy Heating has launched a new Remote Monitoring Unit that enables customers to have real time boiler information delivered to their desktop. This innovation aims to reduce the risk of disruption to heating and water services by allowing performance to be monitored by the click of a mouse. The unit, developed with IQ3 technology from Trend, can be connected to an existing LAN network, via broadband or ADSL, or by using an existing Trend BMS network. There is a 24-hour bureau support service, manned by experienced engineers trained in remote diagnostics. Hamworthy's sales manager, Nick Cooper, says "this embraces the latest technology, it is a proactive system, rather than reactive. Fault indicators will make some call outs unnecessary."
