Steam speed
May 1st 2008 MCL Energy, were recently
awarded another long-term boiler
and utilities maintenance services
contract for Saxon Valley Foods.
Specifications included some plant
upgrade and replacement
compromising modifications to the
Condensate Return system to
reduce the cost associated with
steam generation and some
conversion of steam to LPHW heat
exchangers to direct fired units. As
part of Saxon Valley Foods energy
efficiency initiatives, the steam
boilers are having variable speed
drives (VSD's) fitted to reduce
electrical consumption and cost.
The service provided by MCL
Energy includes the daily operation
of the associated plant and
equipment, 24-hr callout response,
all service, replacement and steam
