West Midlands based Wellman Robey have recently supplied two mid-range (5,440kg/hr) steam raising boilers to the Furness General Hospital at Barrow in Furness. The boilers are part of a Ł1 million refurbishment plan, and represent Wellman Robeys' twelfth hospital supply, installation and commissioning contract in 18 months.

Issues around emissions efficiencies and ongoing operating costs led the hospital trust to select state-of-the art, high efficiency Wellman Robey steam boilers with performance guarantees to ensure that the expectations of the trust are met.
