Condensate separation efficiency boosted
January 1st 2005

Anew oil/water separator range from Atlas Copco is said to deliver unparalleled levels of condensate separation efficiency and filter lifetime performance.

The OSC unit enables all condensate to be separated, including most condensate emulsions and its stable performance and simple operating principle eliminates the need for sensitive adjustments during commissioning and regular testing when in use.

Condensate is separated through filtration rather than gravitation or weir separation, so there is no standing water to pose a health risk to operators and the environment.

Units are said to be insensitive to vibrations, shocks and splashes.

They are simple to install and a rising green indicator accurately identifies element changeover point.

Filter replacement is quick and easy.

No oil bottle is required so there is no chance of previously separated condensate being contaminated if the system malfunctions.

Eight models in the range span capacities from 35 to 2360L/s.
