An updated Good Practice Guide from the Carbon Trust covers energy saving opportunities for users of compressed air.

At about 50 pages long, GPG385: Energy efficient compressed air systems is packed with helpful advice on how to optimise the energy performance of compressed air systems. Topics include compressor selection, air treatment, storage, distribution, condensate management and the avoidance of waste and misuse.

Useful additions include a list of questions that should be asked when selecting a compressor and an introduction to leak measurement tests.
