HPC compressor September 1st 2007 WR Pressings suspected that its
existing compressor had seen
better days and called in
compressed air specialists,
Thorite, to give its system a health
check. Thorite carried out a datalogging
exercise and reported that
the old compressor was highly
inefficient. Thorite advised
replacing the compressor with a
new, energy efficient HPC variable
speed compressor, complete with
a new dryer and filtration system to
improve compressed air quality.
The HPC compressor selected,
model BSD 72 SFC, automatically
speeds up or slows down to match
its compressed air output to the
varying demand from WR
Pressings' pneumatic machinery at
any given time, rather than
constantly running at full output. More articles from Thomas Wright/Thorite Group Ltd: |
