September 1st 2004 An HPC 100hp, energy efficient variable speed, rotary screw air compressor has been installed by Thomas Wright/Thorite Group at Switchgear and Instrumentation, a member of the N.G. Bailey Organisation in Bradford.
This supplements a previous Thorite installation of HPC compressors at the same company 10 years ago, that have proved to be efficient and reliable. The new compressor is designed to operate 24/7, providing compressed air for hand tools, laser cutters and aeration tanks.
Switchgear and Instrumentation produce advanced electrical switchgear used in motor and process control systems for clients throughout the world. A reliable source of compressed air is vital.
Adrian Hill, the company’s maintenance manager, comments “Thorite was selected because of its quality, service and overall package content and price. The new compressor was installed on time, quickly and professionally, but crucially from our point of view, there was little or no disruption to our air supply.” The Thorite package includes an on-going service contract to ensure the compressor’s non-stop performance is maintained over the next five years.
