Leak detector
May 1st 2007

The SoundSonic leak detection kit from Pressure Vacuum Level (PVL) is designed to find compressed air or refrigerant leaks, tracing steam trap or internal valve leaks that cause turbulence and for finding electrical discharges and corona effects.

According to PVL, an electronic leak detector with a good set of headphones and a portable signal generator would normally cost £1000 or more, but PVL and its online shop Plan-B Marketing is able to offer a device to tackle dozens of leak detection tasks for £299.

the free signal generator makes it possible to trace pinhole leaks in tanks, leaks in seals, windshields, and so on.
