New oil-free compressor reduces noise levels

Oil-lubricated and oil-less compressors from Jun-Air are designed to help manufacturing companies meet the growing demand for clean, dry air for industrial processes and OEM applications and, at the same time, comply with health and safety regulations requiring lower noise.

The range is believed to be among the quietest available and is capable of achieving decibel ratings as low as 35dB(A) for oillubricated models and 47dB(A) for the oil-less models. This makes them suitable for installations that require an independent air supply, but where noise could cause health and safety problems. They are quiet enough to be used near individual workstations.

A recent introduction to the oilfree range is the quiet and vibration-free OF1200. With an output of 130l/min at 8bar, it offers a 45% increase in output over the company’s OF300. The 50/60hz dual frequency also provides greater flexibility for exporting OEMs as the OF1200 can operate anywhere in the world without the need for modification. Versions are available to operate at 10bar.
