New service aims to cut compressor running costs May 1st 2005 Two compressed air consumption analysis services have been introduced by Festo to help pneumatic automation builders and users minimise energy use.
The Compressed Air Consumption Analysis Service will give machinery OEMs documented air use figures for new or existing equipment, providing a valuable benchmark against which customers can compare competitive equipment.
The Energy Saving Service provides the means to extend the focus on energy efficiency right down to individual machine level, to reduce costs and support an organisation’s wider commitment to environmental policies and standards, such as ISO 14001.
The company says that by identifying and eliminating leaks, and optimising the layout of compressed air generation and distribution plant, operators can typically expect to save about 35% of their energy costs. More articles from Festo Limited: |
