Push-fit solution
September 1st 2009 Airpac Bukom Oilfield Services, a
division of Vp, hires equipment such
as air compressors, steam generators,
heat exchangers and sand filters to
the oil and natural gas industries.
The company has upgraded the
compressed air system in its Great
Yarmouth workshop using John
Guest's plastic Push-fit System. This
comprises black push-in fittings and
blue pipe. Pushing a pipe into a
fitting produces a leakproof
connection which is immediately
ready for use. The pipe is easily cut
to length and installation is helped
by the lightweight components. The
pipe can be extended and reconfigured
and extra take off points can be
retrofitted.
The completed system comprised
200m of 22mm ring main, with
15mm pipe for drops to 10 take off
points made up of Water Tap Tees,
