Latest legislative information
March 1st 2009

The Energy Services Directive, the Carbon Reduction Commitment and the ongoing nuclear power debate will be top of the agenda at The Energy Event this year. These important legislative reforms will be explored in depth, debated and interpreted at this year's event which is taking place on 9- 10th September 2009 at the National Motorcycle Museum, Solihull.

Alan Aldridge of Energy Services and Technology Association looked forward to this year's event saying, "The timing could not be better as, come September, everyone will be beginning to think about their benchmark budgets for the CRC and so will be looking for information.

The roll-out of advanced, half-hourly meters in accordance with the Energy Services Directive will also be well underway and I expect this to generate many queries from both providers and consumers alike. In order to provide assistance ESTA will be giving seminars, some of which look at practical implementation while others concentrate on wider policy issues."
