May 1st 2009

Scorpion Power Systems has introduced a new range of Britishbuilt generators. Competitively priced, the Sterling Series provides a cost effective solution for 'standard package' requirements.

Available for both prime and standby power applications, with engine sizes from 17 to 600kVA, the generators come with an acoustic and weather canopy, and an intelligent auto-start controller with generator monitoring and protection systems suitable for remote starting or connection to a Scorpion AMF Panel.

A thermostatically controlled engine heater, battery tickle charger, output circuit break and DEFRAcompliant high capacity bunded fuel tank, completes the package.

This latest product has been developed using the same flexible and durable plastic extrusion as ASafe's other barrier systems. The round, bollard-style ends protect and deflect any warehouse vehicles, preventing damage to stock, racking systems and the vehicle itself.

Impact-absorbing and highly visible, the barriers have proved successful with a range of customers.

Stephen Fletcher at DHL, for example, says "A-Safe's system had obvious appeal with no sharp edges that you often get with sheet metal. It is easy to clean, maintain and returns to its previous shape if hit by mechanical handling equipment." lead times and includes components from leading manufacturers.

Compact, for use in stationary units and mobile installations, they are economic to run. Larger units have engines that have been designed and developed to handle large step-load situations while providing short recovery times.
