Air cooled chillers with very high energy efficiency ratios

The Z Power R134A range of air cooled chillers is the first of a series of products from Rhoss to offer what it claims to be the best European Efficiency Ratio (EER) performances available. The range, available from Coolmation - the UK's exclusive distributor - is available in cooling capacities from 750-1285 kW. This chiller combines heat exchange technology with effective control strategy.

Evaporation and pro rata, energy consumption efficiency is increased by the chiller's construction, where water and refrigerant passes are always counter flow and pressure drops across the tube bundle are minimised.

The microprocessor controlled economiser circuit comprises a sub-cooler and an expansion device, which increases cooling capacity and EER by directly integrating with the control system.

Rhoss' laboratory has facilities to test the chillers running at their full operating capacity up to 1500 kW.
