Air curtains September 1st 2007 Industrial over-door air curtains
from Airbloc are providing an
energy-saving heating solutions for
British Airways at its Premia special
handling cargo centre at Heathrow
Airport. The special handling
building was designed and built by
Bowmer & Kirkland to provide a
more automated environment and
increased flexibility.
Airbloc air curtains were fitted to
all loading bay doors – a total of 15
Airbloc AB300, 400 and 500
industrial air curtains – by Derry
Building Services. Mounted above
the doorways, the gas-heated air
curtains operate at full heat when
the doors are open, but drop
automatically to low speed when
they are closed again. Heat
produced by the air curtains is used
to supplement the main heating
system within the cargo building. More articles from AmbiRad Ltd: |
