For the exotic inhabitants of Chester Zoo controlling the temperature of the environment can literally be a matter of life and death. Working with Kimpton Building Services, Powrmatic has provided heating solutions for a number of exhibits throughout the zoo. The latest is the Tsavo exhibit, which is home to the zoo's rhinos.

The Powrmatic OUH oil-fired ducted unit delivers warm air with a pre-set percentage of fresh air for ventilation in the inter and in the summer it provides full fresh air.

Calecon thermal units have also been installed at high level to ensure the required temperature levels are maintained and to reduce energy consumption. The OUH range is designed for use in industrial, warehouse and other commercial applications where oil firing is a requirement and floor space is at a premium.
