Continuous radiant tube cooling November 1st 2007 Radiant tube heating from Ambi-Rad has been chosen by air handling unit and air conditioning equipment manufacturer Weatherite for its factory premises in West Bromwich. The building's heating had to meet several key criteria – maximum flexibility and versatility; zone and time control; and minimisation of heat losses through the three large roller-shutter doors. Nor- Ray-Vac continuous radiant tube heating from Ambi- Rad answered all these requirements. A total of 37 burners, ranging in output from 24kW to 38kW were installed. The 9,290m2 building, which is 11m to the roof apex, lends itself to the low intensity, even heat coverage Nor-Ray-Vac delivers. Radiant heating virtually eliminates the problem of heat loss when external doors are open as it does not depend on air temperature to produce a feeling of warmth. More articles from Ambirad: |
