Evaporative air-cooling equipment on show July 1st 2006 Seeley International's RPX, EA, TBA, ICON and mobile air coolers incorporate advanced evaporative cooling technology. They are said to be economic to install, provide healthier working conditions and consume far less energy than conventional air-conditioning units.
The Breezair system is capable of providing sufficient cool air to drive all the hot air out of the building. As fresh air is continually drawn from outside, then passed over a water-saturated medium, cooled and washed, the potential for sick building syndrome from constantly recirculated stale air is avoided.
As well as providing efficient cooling and ventilation, evaporative cooling consumes minimal energy as it does not have an energyconsuming compressor to increase the refrigerant gas pressure and repeat the cooling cycle. Instead, it uses fresh water to achieve high efficiency cooling.
According to a World Bank report, 4 million EAC units in operation in the USA provide an estimated annual energy saving equivalent to 12 million barrels of oil in addition to an annual reduction of 5.4bn pounds of CO2 emissions. More articles from Seeley International Ltd: |
