Tailored for a tailor September 1st 2006 A roof mounted EcoCooler from EcoCooling discharges cooled fresh air through horizontally mounted ductwork and grilles above workstations at suit maker Cheshire Bespoke in Crewe.
Since its installation, the air temperature on the mezzanine where suits are tailored has been reduced from 35 to less than 25C, creating a much more pleasant environment for staff.
Ductwork was positioned so that the air provided cooling for the mezzanine and, at the same time, discharged cooled air to the lower floor where steam irons are used.
The EcoCooler provides up to 35kW of equivalent cooling load from a 13A electrical supply and a water connection. Running costs are expected to be about 10p/h. More articles from Workspace Cooling Ltd: |
