Approved by Carbon Trust May 1st 2005 Chalmor’s Heatmaster electronic time and temperature controller, with programmable optimum start, provides cost effective control of heating systems without the need to invest in a full scale building management system.
It is believed to be the first heat optimiser to be approved by the Carbon Trust for inclusion on the Energy Technology List, making the device eligible for Enhanced Capital Allowances.
The unit is suitable for controlling almost any kind of heating system, including radiant and warm air. As well as replacing traditional wall-mounted time clock and thermostat systems, it can be used as a simple-to-fit, direct replacement for the basic controls generally built into energy-hungry warm air heaters, providing a typical payback of 12 months.
A compact design (195mm wide by 103mm high by 161mm deep) is combined with a robust IP65 rated housing so that Heatmaster can be used in a variety of applications, on its own or integrated into a panel, as required.
The display has been designed for ease of use and includes clear read-outs of temperature and program status, unambiguous LED indicators for power, heating and optimisation, and day and night temperature setpoints.
The company also offers a range of temperature sensors, including an occupancy sensor that can detect movement up to 12m away within a 90° angle, and a set-back sensor that efficiently manages the heating in intermittently used rooms by automatically reducing the temperature by up to 5° when the area is unoccupied.
Heatmaster is suitable for a wide range of heating control applications. More articles from Chalmor Limited: |
