Counters fouling May 1st 2009 Alfa Laval's latest spiral heat
exchanger, the ALSHE LTL60,
provides an economical solution to
liquid/liquid heat transfer duties
where fouling is a problem.
Used for heating, cooling or heat
recovery, it is fabricated from two
concentric shells and can incorporate
channels from 8 to 16mm in width,
enabling it to handle viscous and
particulate-bearing fluids with
minimal risk of fouling. The unit has
a larger heat transfer area than normal
and its removeable/replaceable inner
core simplifies service.
It can handle fouling matter which
can reduce the efficiency of a heat
exchanger. As well as limiting the risk
of fouling, turbulent flow also
contributes to the ALSHE LTL60's
efficient thermal performance.
