highly efficient, but huge long term
savings can still be made.
By selecting a 3:1 SP180 MC
High-Speed rather than an SP180
MF version, the no-load running
torque is reduced by 4Nm.
Running on a constant 2500rpm
on the input gives approximately
1kW saving/h. On 24/7 production,
based on 1kW = 10p, this saves
£875. The MC version costs
approximately £170 more than the
MF. It has a lifespan of 30 000+
hours, compared to 20 000+ hours
for the MF.
