Free cooling cuts costs for Telecoms operators November 1st 2003 Energy efficient Ecotel packaged air conditioners operating in mobile telecoms cabins and shelters have been monitored by Airedale International Air Conditioning and, the company claims, figures indicate that free cooling can satisfy the cabins cooling requirements for 80% of the time.
Ecotel units are being specified as replacements for traditional split system air conditioners by many telecoms operators.
The company claims that as the units operate in free cooling mode for most of the time, substantial energy savings are achieved when compared with similar sized systems without free cooling capabilities.
Ecotel units are available with cooling capacities from, 5 to 15kW outdoors and 11 to 21kW for indoor use. All are configured for fresh air free cooling.
The range includes dual circuit models that offer four stages of cooling and use non-ozone depleting refrigerant R407C. More articles from Airedale International Air Conditioning Ltd: |
