GAME Engineering has helped coal-fired Cottam Power Station, Retford provide 10% of its total electricity generation from a renewable source, in line with the government’s commitment to reducing greenhouse gas emissions.

GAME installed a Biofuels Storage and Feed System, with a storing area of 370m3 and feeding the Biomass fuel at a rate of 40TPH to the main plant.

This involved supply and installation of a wide range of products, such as concrete block to form the storage area, intake hopper, crash barrier posts, electric roller shutter door and frame; chain conveyor and supporting steelwork, roof section and dust control system.

Mechanical commissioning of the feed system was also included.
