Adsorption dryers: free brochure September 1st 2005 When large quantities of compressed air need to be processed and purity is a requirement, heat regenerated adsorption dryers offer a solution.
They are said to reliably reach pressure dew points to -70°C.
A new brochure from Donaldson, Heat Regenerated Adsorption Drying, outlines the different models in its range of externally heat regenerated adsorption dryers and explains the key features of each.
For example, the cooling of the desiccant in the HRE model is conducted with partial flow of the already dried compressed air.
HRG and HRS models both use desorption and cooling of ambient air as part of their process. HRS models feature vacuum cooling, during which energy saving is achieved.
The HRS-L version has a closedloop cycle and is independent of ambient conditions. This version offers for all climate zones a pressure dew point of -70°C.
The brochure is available free of charge and the company believes it to be a good introduction to the topic of heat regenerated adsorption drying. However, Donaldson is quick to point out that it does not replace consultation with one of its specialists. More articles from Donaldson Filtration (GB) Ltd: |
