Condenser control September 1st 2008 Parasense is helping J Sainsbury's
reduce its energy consumption by
15%, by implementing refrigeration
infrastructure solutions. "The
refrigeration system can consume as
much as 70% of a store's total
energy" says Steve McMahon,
Parasense key account manager.
"Our engineers designed a
condenser control system that
worked the condenser coil more
effectively than a conventional
control unit, making large energy
savings." The system uses a
Silverteam Hitachi X200 VSD per
pair of fans coupled to the CDM
(Condenser Control Board). It is
controlled around local temperature
and pressure set-points to give
precise floating head pressure
control. Hitachi's high efficiency VSD
technology allows it to achieve
accurate speed control. "We have
seen daily savings of over 30% on
some systems," says McMahon. More articles from Silverteam Ltd: |
