Cuts electrical energy costs

It is claimed that the Claude Lyons ESS Energy Saving Regulator can cut electrical energy costs by up to 25%.

At 240V, the UK mains voltage tends to be at the high end of electrical equipment specifications.

The ESS controllably reduces this to a level more closely matched to the actual needs of onsite equipment.

This reduction in voltage achieves savings directly through reduced energy consumption, and indirectly through extending electrical equipment lifetime while reducing maintenance expense.

ESS is said to deliver greater savings and benefits than a simple fixed ratio step down transformer through tight voltage regulation and its phase balancing capability.While cutting energy costs, ESS's controlled output also ensures a secure and regulated voltage level for electricity users, without added harmonics.
