Water re-use optimised for parts producer September 1st 2008 An Aqua-Save Junior the
smallest waste water
recycling unit from specialist
manufacturer, Aqua-Save
Technologies is now a key
processing focal point at H S Rowe
and Partners. The producer of subcontracted
turned parts, is taking full
advantage of the Aqua-Save
concept in order to maximise waste
water re-use while minimising off site
disposal costs.
"We have positioned the Aqua-
Save Junior alongside one of our
main aqueous-based washing
stations allowing it to link directly to
that process," comments Mark
Statham, general manager of the
Ilkeston-based company. "We also
bring in a regular series of IBC's
from other processing locations
around the site and, with the simple
switch of a lever, link these
periodically to the Aqua-Save facility.
The results in both processing and
environmental terms are significant
to the extent that complete pay back
on the installation will be realised,
we believe, within little more than 18
months."
The Aqua-Save design allows
processing of waste water not
only from washing machines but for
example, from machine coolants
and floor washings to be
separated into two elements. Some
95% of the volume then emerges
from the unit as clean solution ready
for re-use with only 5% of the
original volume oils and other
contaminants requiring off-site
disposal. More articles from Mecwash Systems Ltd: |
