Anaerobic waste water treatment March 1st 2009 VeoliaWater Solutions &
Technologies has been
awarded a large-scale contract
for a waste water treatment
plant by Hungarian pulp and
paper enterprise, Dunapack,
at its site in Dunaújváros,
south of Budapest. Increased
production necessitated
increased capacity of the
wastewater treatment plant.
The project will extend the
existing aerobic treatment line
with an anaerobic system with
a capacity of 60t/d COD and
15 000m3/d (625m3/h). For
that, two Biobed EGSB
Reactors (Expanded Granular
Sludge Bed) will be supplied.
Biobed is an energy efficient
anaerobic waste water
treatment process, frequently
used in the pulp & paper and
food & beverage industries. |
