Deionised water
September 1st 2008 Elga Process Water's Service DI
package is a simple way to
produce deionised water without
any capital expenditure.
The Service DI team supplies a
cylinder containing mixed bed ion
exchange resins. This is simply
connected to a tap to produce high
purity deionised water. When the
resins are exhausted, the team
delivers a replacement cylinder
and returns the exhausted one to
its regeneration station.
Each cylinder has a unique barcode
for QA traceability. Service DI
operates its own truck fleet for
delivery and collection of cylinders,
so traceability extends to the time
of delivery and even the driver's
name. To many customers, this is a
prime requirement.
Instead of buying equipment, it
is possible to buy a book of six
exchange vouchers, entitling the
user to six Service DI cylinder
exchanges. A duty and spare
cylinder and connection kit will be
supplied and there will be nothing
to pay until the six cylinders have
