Dyno-rod provides missing link
July 1st 2007

Machmade, a Dyno-Rod franchisee was recently asked by the groundworks contractor of a commercial development to replace a section of drainage that had been removed to allow construction of a ground beam.

When a CCTV survey revealed a blockage in the drain caused by plywood, it was decided to use Dyno- Rod's in2 drain replacement system. This involves either winching or pushing new sections of pipe through an existing sewer, working from one end or both.

As there was a bend immediately upstream of the manhole, Machmade had to dismantle the chamber to set up the equipment. A hole was punched through the plywood using a special in2 jack with driving head, into the space beneath the beam. Sections of the in2 pipe were then screwed together and jacked down the drain, bridging the gap and into the down stream section of the drain. A Localine sleeve was installed over the end of the in2 section, sealing it to the down stream drain.
