Getting into hot water March 1st 2008 Alfa Laval's AquaStore
range provides hot water
supplies for large
buildings such as flats,
nursing homes and
hospitals. A heat
exchanger heats
incoming water to the
pre-set temperature, and
three versions are
available. Standard units
contain a copper brazed
heat exchanger. For
corrosion resistance the
exchanger can be
stainless steel and for high
volume or
severe
fouling,
where
regular
cleaning access is
required, conventional
gasketted plate is available.
To protect against
limescale build-up there
is a scaling control kit
option featuring an
additional
temperature sensor, a
CIP (Cleaning In
Place) kit for
exchanger chemical
cleaning and two valves to
isolate the Domestic Hot
Water (DHW) circuit. To help
reduce the risk of
Legionella growth an antibacteria
program is
included.
The controller, pumps
and other components are
built onto the same
skid as the
exchanger to
provide a compact unit. More articles from Alfa Laval Limited: |
