Cryovac Sealed Air Corporation has upgraded its waste disposal system with the help of a Pakawaste mill sized horizontal baler. The Powerkube XL reduces waste volume by up to 90%. Waste is pressed into mill sized bales of 1143 by 1490 by 762mm and weighing about 500kg. The machine has a potential throughput of 2000kg/h.

The unit installed for Cryovac has an over-the-back bin lift loading facility so containers can be emptied into the filling aperture quickly and easily.

Financial advantages of baling include a good return on investment due to the revenue generated from the sales of bales of plastic.
