Star Refrigeration's Indigochiler is a compact, energy efficient packaged chiller, developed in response to the impending F-Gas Regulations. It is designed to minimise potential refrigerant leakage and provide an alternative 'responsible use' chilling solution.

Star's research indicates that the Indigochiller would use 60% of the energy required by a standard chiller operating on typical load and ambient profiles.

The unit has a low maintenance Turbocor compressor that is oil-free and operates on electromagnetic bearings. This is said to ensure minimal vibration and low noise levels.The unit is available with either a water cooled condenser (capacities 250 to1500kW) or air cooled condenser (capacities 250 to 1000kW.)
