Super Pusher
September 1st 2006

Airedale Air Conditioning has taken delivery of its first Nu-Star Super Pusher unit at its factory in Leeds.

During the manufacturing process the Airedale air conditioning units are built up in several stages and can range in weight from 1.5t to 9t. Once assembled, the units have to be moved into and out of the test centre and finally to the despatch bay for loading with a crane.

Airedale engineer Tim Plamer explained: "To meet increased production targets we needed to introduce a safer and more efficient method of moving products inside the factory. By incorporating Nu- Star's coupling mechanism into the mobile base units on which our AC units are assembled we could use Super Pusher like a general purpose tractor and manoeuvre all the units anywhere in the factory."
