Rapid goods handling

A specially designed conveyor system and a free-standing goods lift installed by European Conveyor Systems (ECS) are providing rapid handling of goods while minimising space use in a new warehouse opened by Davies Turner at Bristol. ECS has already completed conveyor installations for Davies Turner at Dartford and Birmingham.

The solution devised by ECS for the Bristol facility consists of a series of fixed powered belt conveyors between the ground floor and mezzanines, with a flexible powered conveyor that connects these to the loading docks, so goods can be sent directly between any of the upper floors and any of the loading bays. The flexible conveyor has been supplied in sections that can be linked together as needed, depending on the location of the loading bay being used.
