Conveying a cost effective solution November 1st 2005 A warehouse conveying system has been designed, manufactured and installed by Peer Conveyors for Bell Microproducts Europe.
The design cost effectively incorporated an existing lineshaft carousel conveyor, new powered roller conveyors and full electrical controls to convey cardboard boxes from 16 packing stations to a new despatch unload area.
Peer incorporated a new lineshaft carousel conveyor with a lowered existing roller bed, that enabled order pick boxes with raised flaps to be transported underneath the proposed new conveyor. Peer also supplied and installed additional un-powered infill rollers to provide a closer pitch to ensure maximum flexibility in the handling of cartons or various sizes.
Operators at 16 packing stations remove cartons containing fulfiled orders from the lower carousel for final checking and sealing.
These are then returned to the top tier LS50 lineshaft roller conveyor made by Peer and transported to a despatch area via lineshaft and inclined/decline belt conveyors, maintaining a clear gangway access. More articles from Amber Industries Limited: |
