Danfoss is supplying 5500 drives for the baggage handling system at Terminal 3, Changi Airport, Singapore.

The Danfoss FCD300 Decentral drives, ordered by FKI Logistex, will power more than 10km of baggage handling conveyors, transporting and sorting baggage weighing up to 100kg, at speeds between 1.8 and 15m/sec.

Each CrisBag conveyor line can handle 2700 pieces of baggage per hour. Each piece is placed on a tote tray, forming a mini train, that speeds up and slows down according to the rail layout, discharging at the right stations.
