Quick release
March 1st 2005

A quick release mechanism on Gramac powered belt bends enables two maintenance engineers to change a damaged or worn conveyor belt in less than 10min.

The Gramac design differs from conventional belt curve technology in that it releases the guide wheel assembly along with the belt simply by loosening the locking bolts, allowing a vulcanised belt change with considerable speed.

Latest versions have the bolt locking system replaced by an over centre locking mechanism to give quicker separation of track way parts.

Technical literature is available from Quartz Systems.
