Spiral solution for drinks business July 1st 2007 Diageo made changes to its
packaging lines at Shieldhall,
Glasgow. It installed Conveyor
Systems' spiral conveyors that are
fitted with an inverter as standard
both to allow speed variation as
required, and to avoid 'snatch' if
starting and stopping under load.
High friction inserts in the slats
ensure smooth transfer and
prevents slippage. In the bottling
hall, the infeed to the CSL spiral was
extended to link up with the case
packing line. A smooth continuous
flow of cases weighing up to 15kg
are transported from the ground
floor case packers, from 800mm
up to 3m and over a trucking aisle
onto the existing higher level
conveyors and palletiser. More articles from Conveyor Systems Limited: |
