At its production plant in Hull,
hundreds of 25kg plastic sacks of
raw material are transferred from
pallets to hoppers every day. This
used to be a manual operation, but
the company recognised the need
for a simple-to-operate, piece of
free-standing lifting equipment that
would eliminate any risk of injury to
its workforce.
The solution was provided by
AL-Vac UK's Two-Joint Swing Arm
vacuum lifter. Simple hand controls
enable the operator to pick up the
25kg sacks individually, using the
unit's powerful vacuum head, and
position them over hoppers with
