Latest order results in 1500th high speed door

High speed door number 1500 has been manufactured by Klimate as part of an order from Procter and Gamble for three new doors for its Trafford Park site.

The multi-national manufacturer chose the Ardent range, as the doors act as a form of quality control to separate areas that have different atmospheric conditions.

They also help reduce the effect of flying insects entering operational areas.

The doors have opening speeds in excess of 1.5m/sec, benefiting companies who want to reduce draughts, heat loss and the cost of energy through heat loss and who wish to promote clean and hygienic working environments.

Klimate says the design of its Ardent range can result in reduced maintenance costs. High impactrisk components are designed for simple replacement by trained customer personnel.

An electric, fully monitored safety edge system is fitted to the bottom rail, providing an instantaneous stop/reverse feature should the bottom rail come into contact with an object before it reaches the floor.
