Door helps cut costs May 1st 2008 Union Industries has
received a repeat order
from cold storage company
Interfrigo, after installing an
Eiger freezer door at the
facility. The second order is
the result of energy savings,
freezer efficiency and low
maintenance costs.
Providing third party cold
storage for local and
international food
producers, Interfrigo
specialises in chilling and
freezing food.
The Eiger doors have a
bottom beam break-out
device that minimises the
effect of impact damage,
allowing the door to
continue working if hit. The
door also has a dehumidified
air circulatory system that
removes the moisture
which causes ice to form
and keeps the drive and
working parts dry and
clean.
The door operates as
effectively on the freezer
side of openings should
headroom be restricted or
space limited on the
ambient side.
At Interfrigo, Eiger doors
operate at 1.6m/sec and
open and close when
activated by forklifts
detected by radar motion
sensors. More articles from Union Industries: |
