Emergency aid September 1st 2007 De Boer has almost completed the
dismantling of a temporary factory
that enabled a Scottish food
company to safeguard its
business, and protect the jobs of
210 staff, after fire devastated its
original premises.
The emergency facility for Aulds
has been used for the past 18
months after De Boer took just five
weeks to design and build 2250m2
of facilities on grassland at the rear
of the burnt-out building.
Using one of its modular Delta
System structures as the
centrepiece, De Boer created
space for a range of facilities,
including clean production area,
offices, cold storage facilities,
laboratory and test kitchen. Aulds
was also provided with goods-in
and goods-out facilities, changing
rooms and space for blast freezers.
Within six weeks of the
production line rolling again,
inspectors from the European
Food Standards Inspection Service
carried out an audit on the
temporary facility and awarded it
an A-rated accreditation certificate. |
