Portable office space proof against vandals

A-Plant has delivered nearly half a million pounds' worth of fire-rated anti-vandal accommodation units to form a new 'Contractors Village' of temporary site office accommodation for the Manchester Joint Hospitals Project, one of the most prestigious PFI hospital schemes in the UK.

The new Contractors' Village is composed of high quality 32 x 10ft units. The uniformity and proximity provided by the village will allow contractor Bovis to carefully control and restrict movements of equipment, personnel and materials onsite. The units have been designed, manufacturered and independently tested to meet Clause 12.4 of The Joint Code of Practice on the Protection from Fire of Construction Sites and Buildings Undergoing Renovation code.

Modular buildings offer an economical alternative to traditional buildings with much reduced timescales and portable jackleg units providing instant solutions.
