Floor testing
November 1st 2006 A new testing and design service has been launched by FACE Consultants to ensure warehouse floors are able to withstand leg loadings from racking systems, mezzanines and for lift trucks. To evaluate the suitability of a concrete floor, FACE will take samples to check depth, strength and reinforcement and perform CoverMeter surveys to investigate joints and reinforcement. Where required, detailed ground investigations can be carried out. FACE can then put forward proposals for the safe positioning of racking and mezzanine legs. Floor flatness can also be checked.
